For ten years, the Faculty of Biological Sciences of the University of Valencia has developed an agreement with the Iowa State University (ISU) that allows a group of biology students from the ISU to be hosted in its laboratories for a month.

This year, seven students will collaborate with various research groups, among which is Claire Myers who joins the group of Biotechnology and Synthetic Biology of I2SysBio. The students, accompanied by their tutors Steve Rodermel and Beatriz Spalding, were received on Friday, June 7, by the dean Carmen Bañó and the vice dean Mercedes Fernández, along with the tutors of the receiving laboratories. For a month, they will learn new laboratory techniques while continuing their educational and cultural activities at the University of Valencia. Another group of nine students will participate in parallel in a series of activities, talks and excursions, led by professors and researchers from the Faculty and the Cavanilles Institute.
