Two lectures on Darwin Day address coevolution between pathogens and hosts, and the origin of life from chemistry

The University of Valencia (UV) and the Espai Ciència del Octubre Center de Cultura Contemporània (OCCC) celebrate Darwin Day with two conferences this Wednesday, February 8. At 1 p.m., Mireia Coscollá, researcher of the Ramon y Cajal program at the Institute of Integrative Systems Biology (I2SysBio, joint center of the University of Valencia and the CSIC) and expert will discuss the coevolution between pathogens and hosts, in the Charles Darwin room on the Burjassot-Paterna campus.

Peretó is also the author of the book Un planeta creatiu. How life will begin on Earth and how we will manufacture it in the laboratory (Alfonso the Magnanimous Institution, 2022). text-align:justify">Darwin Day is celebrated annually on February 12 to mark the birth of the English naturalist Charles Darwin (1809-1882), with outreach and commemoration activities held around the world and to reflect and act on the advancement of science and disseminate his scientific legacy on the evolution.
