Researchers, companies and investors in biotechnology will meet at the Science Park within the framework of the Innotransfer Forum organized by the rePCV

Next Friday, November 29, the Science Park of the University of Valencia will host meeting aimed at learning about the latest biotechnological solutions and promoting networking between research groups, companies and investors in the sector.
Fostering biotechnological networking between research groups from the five Valencian public universities, Spanish companies in the sector and specialized investors is the objective of the Innotransfer forum organized by the Science Parks Network. Valencians in the Science Park of the University of Valencia, with the support of the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness.
The meeting will begin in the Marie Curie auditorium with the presentation of Daniel Ramón, vice president of R&D in Nutrition and Health of ADM Biopolis and 3rd vice president of the Spanish Association of Bioenterprises (ASEBIO) who will address the challenges of the sector in the coming decades. In addition, he will highlight the uniqueness of the collaboration agreement that his biotechnology company maintains with the Institute of Integrative Systems Biology (I2SysBio, UV-CSIC), both located in the Scientific Park of the University of València.
After this, research and/or developments that are being carried out by research groups and institutes from Valencian universities will be presented. Specifically, the Multidisciplinary Institute for the Study of the Environment of the University of Alicante will intervene; the Institute for Research, Development and Innovation in Health Biotechnology of Elche (IDiBE) of the Miguel Hernández University; the Institute of Plant Molecular and Cellular Biology of the Polytechnic University of Valencia; the Biotechnology and Synthetic Biology R&D Group of the University of Valencia; and the group Bioinspired Supramolecular Chemistry and Materials (BIOSUPRAMAT) of the Universitat Jaume I of Castellón.
Next, an exhibition of products and services from biotech companies installed in the rePCV will be held: Glen Biotech, specialists in pest control tools, especially red weevils; Bioithas, whose main activity is the negotiation of management of licenses, patents and other health records of companies in the pharmaceutical, food supplements, cosmetics or food sector, for their direct or indirect exploitation through third parties; Oscillum, experts in the use of smart materials to guarantee food safety; Iberogen, specialists in bird genetics; EpiDisease, a biotechnology epigenetic research company that develops innovative services and products for the diagnosis and treatment of human diseases, such as idiopathic scoliosis; Seqplexing, developer of genetic analysis kits and services; Binartis Genomics, specialists in genetic analysis systems based on artificial intelligence for diagnosis in personalized medicine; Tesoro Imaging, developers of magnetic resonance imaging for dentists; and Biotica, whose technology is based on the functionalization of magnetic particles of only a few hundred nanometers in diameter, to which they add antibodies to their surface, capable of binding to certain bacteria.
The meeting will end with a space dedicated to promoting the network of contacts between participants and attendees, among whom will be investors specialized in biotechnology. Registrations, which are free, must be made through the following form. In addition to this forum, the rePCV has scheduled another INNOTRANSFER specialized in Artificial Intelligence that will be held on Wednesday, November 27 at the Alicante Science Park.
